FOREST, Va. --- Last season, Washington and Lee University set records in two commissioner's cup standings. This year, it is more of the same as the Generals swept the ODAC Commissioner's Cups for the second straight campaign and fourth time in five years, setting two more records.
Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance is the proud sponsor for the Dan Wooldridge Overall Champions Cup and the ODAC Men and Women's Commissioner's Cups. Virginia Farm Bureau and the ODAC continue their partnership in focusing on the strength of the conference's student-athletes and maintaining the NCAA Division III philosophy of the complete student-athlete experience. Aside from supporting the ODAC Commissioners' Cups, Farm Bureau is the sponsor of the ODAC's sport-by-sport scholar-athlete awards.
As determined by the ODAC Board of Directors, points for the ODAC Commissioner's Cups are based on regular-season standings in team sports and championship team finishes in individual/meet sports. Each institution has a total number of possible points it can collect based on its sport sponsorship. The total number of points earned is then divided by the total number of possible points to determine a rating for each institution.

Washington and Lee reset its own 2015-16 record in the Dan Wooldridge Overall Champions Cup, racking up a 0.882 rating after collecting 202.0 of a possible 229.0 points. That includes an ODAC record rating of 0.899 on 98.0-of-109.0 points in the ODAC Men's Commissioner's Cup table. W&L completed its sweep with a 0.867 mark on 104.0 of a possible 120.0 points to top the ODAC Women's Commissioner's Cup. That is the second-highest women's cup rank behind the Generals' 0.895 rating a season ago.
The spring season provided a major boost for W&L, which finished first or second towards commissioner's cup rankings in all nine sports in which it competed. The Generals, who led the overall and women's cups and shared ownership of the men's cup race with Randolph-Macon College at the winter update, gathered first place points (or a share of them) in baseball, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, and men's outdoor track & field.
Randolph-Macon turned in arguably its most successful campaign in finishing second in all three cups. The Yellow Jackets collected 61.0-of-80.0 points for a 0.763 rating in the men's cup. They jumped two spots in the women's standings, finishing with a 0.747 mark on 71.0-of-95.0 points. That let to R-MC's school-record 0.754 showing in the overall cup table, picking up 132.0-of-175.0 points.
Lynchburg College (0.695) and Bridgewater College (0.615) were the only other schools to post a 0.600 or better rating in the overall cup standings. The pair finished third and fourth, respectively, in all three cups.
