ODAC Players of the Week - Week 12

FOREST, Va. --- Men's and women's swimming and men's and women's hoops continued their regular seasons with fall sports now fully complete thru their regular slates. Those earning ODAC weekly honors include (pictured from top-left): Patrick Sullivan from Washington and Lee men's swimming, Kelly Williams from Randolph-Macon women's basketball, Daniel Spencer from Emory & Henry men's basketball, and Emily Hageboeck from W&L women's swimming.

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Daniel Spencer | Emory & Henry | Jr. | Guard
Spencer, a junior from Concord, N.C., put together a strong week in helping Emory & Henry to a trio of non-conference victories. Spencer averaged 21.0 points and 8.3 rebounds and shot 25-of-41 (.610) from the field as a wing player. He opened with 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting in a 95-73 triumph over Transylvania. He added five rebounds, two assists, and a steal to his line. Spencer followed with 19 more points on 8-of-14 from the field and 2-of-2 from the stripe in an 84-55 win over Webster. He chipped in eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. Spencer capped his week with 25 points, again on 8-of-14 from the field and went 8-of-13 from the foul line, in an 86-74 victory over preseason #22 Maryville (Tenn.). He pulled down 12 boards for his first double-double of the season, and added two assists and two steals to his line. Thru four games, Spencer leads the ODAC in scoring (20.3), overall points (81) and field goals made (30-of-55).

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Patrick Sullivan | Washington and Lee | So.
Sullivan, a sophomore from Pawleys Island, S.C., led the charge for Washington and Lee at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, helping the Generals to fourth in the 11-team field. Sullivan finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with an ODAC top-time of 4:37.30, which ranks 11th in NCAA Division III. He added a third place showing in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:42.67. He swam 1:41.45 in the prelims to set a new ODAC best time and rank 10th in Division III. Sullivan capped his individual contribution with a fifth place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in 0:21.31. Sullivan and teammates Danny Lynch, Steven Warren, and Jared Nickodem won the 400-yard medley relay in 3:24.90, which ranks seventh in the country. The quartet finished second in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:32.98. Sullivan was joined by Conner Van Vooren, Robert Holmes, and Fitz Rawls in placing fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:25.77, while Ben Brown joined Sullivan, Holmes, and Rawls to finish fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:09.82.

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Emily Hageboeck | Washington and Lee | Jr.
Hageboeck, a junior from Charleston, Va., highlighted the Generals winning performance at the 13-team Franklin & Marshall Invitational as Hageboeck won a trio of individual events and helped her teammates to three relay victories. Hageboeck set new ODAC top times in the 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard individual medley, and 100-yard breaststroke. She won the 200-breaststroke in 2:18.42, but her prelim time of 2:17.04 ranks #1 in NCAA Division III. She swam a 2:08.88 in the 200-IM, which is 12th in the nation, and posted a time of 1:04.88 in the 100-breaststroke. Hageboeck was joined by teammates Caroline Florence, Jordan Watson, and Kelly Amar in the winning the 800-yard freestyle relay in 7:48.71. She and Anna Jamieson, Ali MacQueen, and Caroline Baber won both the 200-yard medley and 400-yard medley relays in 1:46.74 and 3:53.35, respectively.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelly Williams | Randolph-Macon | Jr. | Center
Williams, a junior from Garysburg, N.C., led Randolph-Macon to a 2-1 start to its season with a trio of strong games that included the Most Outstanding Player award at the Randolph-Macon Classic. Williams averaged 21.7 points and 18.0 rebounds while shooting 25-of-40 (.625) from the field. She also dished out six assists, came away with four steals, and rejected 14 shots. Williams opened with 16 points and 16 rebounds to go with five blocked shots and two steals in a 66-65 setback at Marymount (Va.). She was 7-of-10 from the field in that contest. In a rematch of last season's NCAA first round game, Williams went for 20 points and 20 rebounds with three assists and two blocked shots in an 85-60 victory over Valley Forge. Fifteen of her 20 boards came via the offensive glass. Williams finished her week with 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting to go with 18 rebounds in an 88-74 win over Arcadia. She added two assists, two steals, and seven blocked shots to her line. Thru three games, Williams leads the ODAC in scoring (21.7), rebounding (18.0), and blocked shots (14). She is second in field goal percentage (25-of-40 | .625) and total rebounds (54).
