Interviews with RC's Susan Dunagan and EMU's Kirby Dean
The final championship weekend of the winter is upon us, and
it's packed with action for ODAC fans. Indoor track and field
decides its annual champions at Liberty University's Tolsma
Track. At the same time, men's and women's basketball will be
deciding its new title holders at the Salem Civic Center in Salem,
Va.
Brad and J.J. had the chance to catch up with the head coaches of
the both top seeds heading into the hoops championships.
Roanoke's Susan Dunagan has the Maroon women firing on all
cylinders, riding a 14-game winning streak coming into Thursday's
opening game against Lynchburg. RC has won 22 games this
season, marking the 16th 20-win campaign in the 29-year
career of Coach Dunagan.
Eastern Mennonite's Kirby Dean guides one of the top scoring teams
in the nation at 90-plus points per game. His Royals are 4-0
against fellow nationally-ranked squads, and own the tournament's
top seed for the first time since 1980.
