Matt Wasson, Washington and Lee, Sr., Outfielder

Wasson, a senior from Merion Station, Pa., put together a strong week in the Generals 2-1 showing against ODAC opponents. Wasson went 6-for-13 overall with a .462/.563/1.077 slash line. In a 7-6 win at Bridgewater, he went 1-for-3 with a triple, two walks, a run driven in and another run scored. In the opening game against nationally 12th-ranked Randolph-Macon, Wasson became the first General to hit for the cycle since Scott Gosselink in 2006 as his 4-for-5 effort helped W&L to an 11-3 victory. He drove in three runs and scored twice while adding his third walk of the week. He finished his week by hitting safely in a third straight game with a single in a 6-4 setback to R-MC. For the season, Wasson is hitting .310 with a .351 on-base percentage and a .460 slugging percentage. His three triples are tied for fourth in the ODAC.

Kenner Berry, Bridgewater (Sr. - OF)
Berry went 8-for-13 with a double, homer, six RBI, and five runs scored in a 1-3 week for BC. He also walked three times towards a .706 OBP. Hew as 6-for-10 in a doubleheader split at Virginia Wesleyan, driving in three runs with a double. He homered and drove in three in a 7-6 setback to W&L earlier in the week.

Josh Macek, Emory & Henry (Jr. - OF)
Macek went 6-for-10 with a homer and seven RBI in a 2-1 week for E&H that included the Wasps first sweep of Lynchburg since 2006. In that series, Macek went 5-for-7 with a homer and six RBI.

Sammy Gerald, Guilford (Jr. - IF)
Gerald went 5-for-9 in two games for Guilford. He had four hits with two RBI in a 15-3 non-conference win at Bluefield State.

Ryan Duphorn, Randolph-Macon (Fr. - OF)
Duphorn went 5-for-16 with two doubles, three RBI, five runs scored, three walks, and a pair of stolen bases in a 2-2 week for R-MC. He had two hits including a double with a RBI in a 13-5 win over Ferrum. We was 3-for-7 in a split against W&L with a driving in game two and a RBI in both games.

Will Black, Roanoke (Sr. - C)
Black went 3-for-7 with two doubles, five walks, and five runs scored, including the game-winning run in a 4-3 victory over Hampden-Sydney. The five walks and three hits helped him to a .714 OBP for the week.

Jake Loew, Shenandoah (Sr. - 1B)
Loew went 7-for-14 with two doubles, a triple, a homer, seven RBI and four runs scored in a 4-0 showing for SU. He was 3-for-5 with a double, homer, four RBI and two runs scored in a 10-3 win at Eastern Mennonite. He went 3-for-5 with a triple, three RBI and two runs scored in a 17-0 non-conference win at Gallaudet.

Taylor Erby, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr. - OF)
Erby went 5-for-13 with two doubles, a homer, three rBI and six runs scored in a 3-1 week for VWC. He smacked his homer in an 11-9 win over Bridgewater. He doubled and drove in a run each in wins over Greensboro (18-3) and Methodist (8-4).
