Conference Call Sessions Set for August 6
FOREST, Va. --- The 2010-11 collegiate athletic
seasons are fast approaching with the ODAC ready to kick-off the
new campaign on the gridiron. The season will begin with the
league’s annual football media day, but the event has been
rearranged into a new format. Replacing the in-person event
that had been hosted in Salem, Va., will be a series of conference
call sessions with each school’s head coach and a selected
player available to media.
The day will begin with the release of the 2010 ODAC Football Preseason Poll by 8:00 a.m. via email and the conference’s website (www.odaconline.com), and will then be followed by the first of seven conference calls at 9:00 a.m. Each call will feature comments from the head coach and a question-and-answer session directed towards the coach and player. Each session will last no longer than 25 minutes, and will be recorded for archival and website purposes. Any further information requests must be made through the individual school sports information directors.
Listed below is the schedule of conference calls covering the early morning and afternoon of Friday, August 6. Audio files from each of the conference calls will be added to the ODAC "Virtual" Media Guide by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August. Media members looking to gain access to the calls live should contact the ODAC at the information below.
