Roughly half of the 2009 ODAC fall season is in the books as teams continue through the conference-heavy portions of their schedules. Amongst some of the top performances were two solid rounds posted by Bridgewater's Mike Redwood (above) to earn his first collegiate golf victory at the Ted Keller Inviational.

Conrad Parker has retired as the golf coach at Virginia Wesleyan College, turning the program over to Matt Pochily, who was an assistant coach with the Marlins through the 2008-09 season. Parker plans on spending more time as a participant on the golf course, as well as more time with his family.

The Washington and Lee golf team shot a final round score of 316 (303-302-311-316--1232) to finish 17th out of 36 teams at the NCAA Division III Championship held at the PGA Village on Saturday afternoon.

Guilford collected three major 2009 ODAC Golf awards after finishing second overall at the ODAC Championship in Cape Charles, Va. last weekend. Peter Latimer collected Player of the Year honors, Brian Creghan was honored as the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete and Quaker head coach, Jack Jensen, was named Coach of the Year.

Washington and Lee shot the best team round of the tournament on Monday afternoon as the Generals gained 11 strokes on round two leader Guilford to overtake the Quakers for the 2009 ODAC Championship. Guilford's Peter Latimer fired his second straight round of 76 to win individual honors.

Guilford maintained control of the ODAC Golf Championships thru the second round of play, but its lead shrank as both Washington and Lee and Roanoke fired 311 to gain five strokes each on the tourney leaders. The Quakers’ round of 316 on Bay Creek’s Arnold Palmer Signature Course gave them a 634 two round total.
