Washington and Lee collected 121 total points and received all 11 first place votes in the 2010 ODAC Women’s Tennis Preseason Poll. Bridgewater locks down the second position after picking up 90 points, while Virginia Wesleyan and Hollins are tight for third place with 84 and 83 points, respectively.

Ed Kahn, a well-known individual in the Hampton Roads tennis loop for nearly 30 years, has been named the Director of Tennis by VWC. Kahn was on staff last season as the assistant coach. He now takes over the Director's spot vacated by Frank Early.

The fifth-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team fell, 5-2, to third-ranked Emory in the third round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Team Tournament at the W&L Courts on Sunday afternooon.

After receiving a first round bye, the fifth-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team rolled to a 5-0 win over Meredith in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Team Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the W&L Courts.
