The WildCats tennis programs have found a new head mentor, as Jamie Campbell was selected to lead Randolph mens and womens teams, as announced by Director of Athletics Tina Hill Tuesday morning. Campbell comes to the College after having extensive experience at the Division I level, most recently at UTEP.

The top two players from Washington and Lee University womens tennis will be pulling double duty over the weekend at the NCAA Division III Womens Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships. Senior Lauren Caire and sophomore Ellen Yeatman will be competing in both brackets at the three-day event hosted by the University of Mary Washington.

Washington and Lee womens tennis players senior Lauren Caire and sophomore Ellen Yeatman participated in the 2010 NCAA Division III Singles and Doubles Championships, hosted by the University of Mary Washington, on Friday in Fredericksburg. They each lost their singles matches, and then fell in the doubles portion of the bracket.

The sixth-ranked Washington and Lee womens tennis team fell to fourth-ranked Emory University, 5-0, on Sunday afternoon in the third round of the NCAA Womens Division III Tournament at the Woodruff Physical Education Center on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. A day earlier, W&L defeated Vassar, 5-0.

The NCAA announced its field for the Division III Womens Tennis Tournament on Monday evening and Washington and Lee University earned the sixth-overall seed in the national tournament. W&L, currently 18-5 this season and ranked sixth in the nation, earned its 17th consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament after claiming its 20th ODAC championship.
