ODAC Set For Track & Field Championship

Two Day Affair Hosted by Lynchburg

FOREST, Va. --- Teams from each of the eight conference schools, including Shenandoah University, that sponsor outdoor track & field are set to begin the 2012 ODAC Track & Field Championships at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va.  Dr. Jack Toms Track will be the venue for the annual two-day affair, set to begin on Friday afternoon and continue through Saturday evening's awards ceremony.

Standout athletes from all teams, including Guilford's Johnathan Smith and Roanoke's Carmen Graves, look to build upon and possibly improve their top marks from the outdoor regular season.   Smith currently holds the top time in the country in the 100 meters (10.51) and 200 meters (21.10), while Graves is number one in the nation in the 800 meters (2:08.51).  Graves also ranks 26th in the country in the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.43) and 32nd in the 1,500 meters (4:41.89).
