HONOREE FROM EMORY & HENRY UNIVERSITY
- Spent 23 years as Head Football Coach and finished with a record of 164-76
- Led the Wasps to 11 ODAC Championships and five NCAA Division III playoff appearances
- Under his leadership, 136 players were named All-ODAC First Team, 36 earned All-America honors and five were chosen as ODAC Player of the Year
- From 1991-98 E&H won 37 consecutive home games under Wacker, the longest streak in the country at the time
- His 1987 team reached the NCAA Division III semifinals while the 1992 squad were among the final eight in the country
- The College honored him in 2014 by naming the home grandstand “Lou Wacker Grandstand” in recognition of his accomplishments and dedication to Emory & Henry. The same year he was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame
