HONOREE FROM UNIVERSITY OF LYNCHBURG
- The 2026 fall season will be the 33rd of his career and final year as the head coach of Lynchburg's women's soccer program
- Entering the 2026 campaign, ranks 10th all-time across all NCAA divisions in women's soccer history and is second all-time among active Division III head coaches with 515 wins
- His program has produced 24 All-Americans, five Academic All-Americans, 17 ODAC championship trophies, and 21 NCAA Tournament berths
- The 2014 squad won the Division III title, marking the first national championship in Lynchburg athletic program history; that team went 27-0-1 to tie the Division III record for wins including a 4-3 win on PKs over Williams College to lift the national trophy
- 10-time ODAC Coach of the Year -- 1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2018
- A member of the Slippery Rock University Athletic Hall of Fame, Olsen was inducted into the Capital one CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 2012
- Routinely partners with Sports Outreach Institute and serves in a volunteer role as a community health epidemiologist; has taken his women's soccer team on soccer/service trips to Argentina and Costa Rica as well as multiple trips to African nations
