- 4,276 career rushing yards, top mark in state history at the time and third-highest total in Division III history. Held program record for 33 years and had three 1,000-yard rushing seasons
- Set program career records with 745 carries, 42 touchdowns and 252 points
- Set school marks with 234 carries in a season in 1987, 47 rushes in a game vs. Washington and Lee in 1987, and a 94-yard kickoff return in 1985
- All-America Honorable Mention and Academic All-District in 1987, All-ODAC First Team and All-State First Team in 1986 and 1987, and All-ODAC Second Team in 1985. Helped RMC post an overall mark of 27-13-1 and 15-5 ODAC record, including 3-1 vs. H-SC. Yellow Jackets reached NCAA Playoffs in 1984
- Dean’s List student, team captain, won George P. Compton Award in 1988 as top senior male student-athlete at RMC
- MileSplit’s National Coach of the Year for track and field in 2023 following 28 years as a coach, including seven at Klein Forest in Klein, Texas, with a pair of state titles. Member of St. Thomas (Texas) High School Sports Hall of Fame
