HONOREE FROM ROANOKE COLLEGE
- Brought the men’s basketball program back to a level of consistent success, posting a 10-win turnaround in his first year and averaging 22 wins per season over his 12 years
- Was a five-time South Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year as well as the ODAC Coach of the Year in 1981 and the Eastern Basketball Magazine's Division III Coach of the Year in 1982
- Guided the Maroons to seven straight ODAC titles from 1981-87. Also took RC to NCAA playoff appearances in eight of his 12 seasons at the helm
- Led the 1982-83 team to a program best 31 wins and an appearance in the NCAA Semifinals. His 1981-82 also made it all the way to the NCAA Quarterfinals
- Holds the highest winning percentage amongst RC coaches with a .758 percentage and 260-83 overall record
- Also took over as the Roanoke Director of Athletics for his last eight years at Roanoke
