HONOREE FROM WASHINGTON AND LEE UNIVERSITY
- First-ever woman inducted in the WLU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999; one of the first women to compete at WLU and began her swimming career in 1985, the school's first year of coeducation
- Paved the way for future Washington and Lee women's athletes from the start with All-ODAC First Team recognition, Honorable Mention All-American laurels, and WLU Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year during her freshman season
- ODAC Swimmer of the Year in 1988 and 1989 and four-time All-ODAC First Team honoree
- Her final two seasons, Miles was presented with the Atlantic States Outstanding Female Athlete Award and also appeared in the annual edition of the American College Athletes Hall of Fame her senior season
- Miles qualified for the NCAA National Championship all four years at W&L and finished in the Top 16 in the 200, 500, and 1650 freestyle events during her career
- Miles set school records in the 200, 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle events and ended her career as the record-holder in all four events
