ODAC Swimming Report: Week 11

  • SOPHIA ROLLO | WASHINGTON AND LEE | SR. | HADDONFIELD, N.J.
Rollo, a senior from Haddonfield, N.J., helped Washington and Lee start the 2024 calendar year with a 163-99 triumph over nationally 19th-ranked Gettysburg College. Rollo collected three golds – two individual – and a silver among her four swims. She won the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events with times of 0:59.56 and 2:07.95, respectively. Both times feature well inside the ODAC's posted top-10. Rollo started the meet by swimming lead-off on the Generals 200-yard medley relay team. She teamed with Paige McBoyle, Bella Tarbet, and Brynn Martinson to finish second at 1:49.22. Rollo swam in the last event as well, hitting the water as the anchor on WLU's winning 200-yard free relay unit. She and Martinson, Tarbet, and Myla Rice posted a time of 1:38.23.

  • DALTON JOBE | WASHINGTON AND LEE | SO. | HENRICO, VA.
Jobe, a sophomore from Henrico, Va., helped the Generals kick-off the 2024 calendar year with a 184-78 victory over 22nd-ranked Gettysburg College. Jobe donned four gold medals following the event with three individual wins and one relay victory. Jobe teamed up with Leighton Chapman, Matt Fritz, and Charles Byars to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:25.37. That time is a little more than a second off their ODAC-best time from earlier this season. Jobe posted individual wins in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events with times of 1:42.76 and 4:46.11, respectively. Both times would be inside the league's posted top-six. The same can be said of his winning 200-yard IM time of 1:55.33.
