ODAC Men's Soccer Report: Week 6

Men's soccer is nearly half-way through its 10-game conference slate. Virginia Wesleyan, ranked 16th in Division III, has yet to drop a point four outings in league play, with Washington and Lee close behind with 10 points (3-0-1) and Lynchburg (3-1-0) just one notch further back. While the Marlins have scored 16 goals against just one allowed, the most interesting goals-for goals-against line belongs to Randolph. The WildCats have scored twice and given up two goals on the way to a 2-1-1 mark. Both wins were one-goal efforts to go with a 0-0 draw and a 2-0 setback. The trend continues throughout their entire schedule (3-3-5) with five one-goal games and four 0-0 ties with neither team in any matchup scoring more than two goals.

  • THOMAS VISCUSO | LYNCHBURG | JR | GK | MANASSAS, VA.
Viscuso, a junior from Manassas, Va., helped Lynchburg collect a pair of ODAC wins last week with two clean sheets, earning the Hornets shot-stopper his first weekly award of the season. Viscuso came up with three saves in a 2-0 midweek win at Averett. He then stopped a pair of shots in Lynchburg's 2-0 triumph over Randolph-Macon. For the season, Viscuso owns a .681 goals against average, a .750 save percentage, and has registered four shutouts.

  • DMITRI TULLOCH | WASHINGTON AND LEE | SO | M | DEER PARK, N.Y.
Tulloch, a sophomore from Deer Park, N.Y., earned his first ODAC weekly award of the season after posting a five-point week to help Washington and Lee to a 1-0-1 start to ODAC play. Tulloch had a hand in both of the Generals' goals in their 2-0 midweek triumph at Randolph. He assisted Spencer Forman in the 28th minute and then ripped the onion bag himself in the 65th minute. In a 2-2 draw with Averett on the weekend, Tulloch opened the game's scoring just 57-seconds from the first whistle. For the season, Tulloch is tied for second in the ODAC in assists (4) and is fourth in points (12). He has scored four goals.
