ODAC Men's Lacrosse Report: Week 1

  • MIKE ALLEN | RANDOLPH-MACON | SO. | D | WILLIAMSBURG, VA.
    Allen, a sophomore from Williamsburg, Va., was a brick wall on defense in helping Randolph-Macon open the season with a 13-8 triumph at the University of Mary Washington. RMC has now defeated Mary Washington twice in the last three seasons. Previously, the Yellow Jackets had not topped the Eagles since 2001. Allen locked down on defense on Saturday and caused two turnovers while registering six ground balls. He also got forward to assist Will Robertson on Randolph-Macon's sixth goal with 2:02 left in the first frame.

  • RYAN PRITCHARD | RANDOLPH-MACON | SR. | M | CROFTON, MD.
    Pritchard, a senior from Crofton, Md., started the 2024 season with a career-best five-point outing in the Yellow Jackets 13-8 triumph at the University of Mary Washington. Randolph-Macon has now beaten the Eagles twice in the last three years. RMC's previous win over UMW came in 2001. Pritchard scored twice and dished out three assists to go with a pair of ground balls in RMC's win on Saturday. He assisted Logan Sinsebox on the opener at 11:22 and then scored RMC's second goal with 9:33 to play in the opening quarter. He closed the first period with another helper to Sinsebox with 0:04 on the clock. He was next on the scoreboard at the end of the third quarter as he assisted Jack Smith on the first of two straight goals with 0:03 to play in the frame. Pritchard scored RMC's final goal via an unassisted effort with 7:54 to play in the game.
