ODAC Announces All-ODAC Baseball Awards

GC's Hairston Named Player of the Year, RC's Murphy and SU's Bell Share Top Pitcher Honors

TYSONS, Va. --- Championship weekend of the ODAC Baseball Tournament kicked off on Thursday afternoon at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va. In keeping with tradition, the ODAC Tournament features the first public announcement of the All-ODAC Baseball Awards as determined by the league's head coaches.

Guilford College first baseman Isaiah Hairston garnered ODAC Player of the Year laurels, while Roanoke College starter Jackson Murphy and Shenandoah University starter Jacob Bell shared ODAC Pitcher of the Year honors. Bell doubled as the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Randolph-Macon College mentor Ray Hedrick received ODAC Coach of the Year plaudits from his peers, and Maroons second baseman Kyle Moshier collected ODAC Rookie of the Year distinction.

ODAC coaches recognized 40 all-conference standouts this season with just 13 appearing on an All-ODAC team for a second straight year. That included five on the All-ODAC First Team.

GC's Hairston is the only repeat first team selection of the group. SU's Bell is joined by RC shortstop Jonny Wall and Ferrum College outfielder Bryce Thacker as players that moved up from the 2023 All-ODAC Second Team to the top unit. Washington and Lee University catcher Campbell Charneco made the leap to the first team from the All-ODAC Third Team a season ago.
