  • ROBERT CLARKE | HAMPDEN-SYDNEY | LINEBACKER
Clarke, a senior from Atlanta, Ga., was a nuisance in the Roanoke backfield to earn his first ODAC weekly honor of the season in Hampden-Sydney's 35-10 win over the Maroons. Clarke made team-best 10 total stops (six solo) and set career-highs with 3.5 tackles for loss including 3.0 quarterback sacks. That total is the third-highest mark in a game in the conference this season behind a pair of 3.5 sack games for Guilford linebacker Travis Burton. Clarke cost Roanoke 12 yards of total offense in addition to the wasted downs. Two of his three sacks came on third down plays to force punts. For the season, Clarke is 11th in the ODAC with 50 tackles. He is tied for fifth with 7.5 TFLs and third with 5.0 sacks. His TFLs have cost opposing offenses 22 yards from scrimmage.

Sido, a senior from Dallas, Texas., collects his second ODAC weekly honor of the season after guiding the Hampden-Sydney offense to more than 500 yards (533) from scrimmage for the fourth time this year in a 35-10 home win over Roanoke. Sido set a new career-high with 330 passing yards with three touchdowns on 17-of-25 through the air. The three TDs helped the Tigers go from trailing the Maroons, 3-0, late in the second quarter to leading 21-3 with less than five minutes to play in the third quarter. Two of Sido's scoring throws went to Kam Mahoney including the go-ahead touchdown on an over-the-shoulder 28-yard toss to the back of the end zone just 39-seconds before halftime. Sido then connected with Mason Cunningham at the 10:43 mark of the third quarter, rolling right and dropping the ball over-top of the Roanoke defensive back in the end zone from 33 yards out. Sido and Mahoney made it 21-3 Tigers with 4:47 to go in the third frame. A pump-fake by the H-SC signal-caller freed up Mahoney for a second 28-yard touchdown reception. For the season, Sido is 96-of-154 for ODAC-highs of 1,684 yards and 22 touchdown passes. His 62.3 completion percentage is second in the conference, while his 193.5 efficiency rating is No. 1.
