FOREST, Va. --- The ODAC men's soccer regular season championship resides in the Hill City for a second straight season with the University of Lynchburg securing the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Men's Soccer Tournament. The nationally 12th-ranked Hornets (14-1-2, 8-1-0) closed the regular season on Wednesday evening against Shenandoah University for the second time in as many years, claiming all three points with a 2-0 win to finish atop the league table on 24 points.

Much like in 2024, little was known about the makeup of the eight-team tournament field entering the Wednesday final six league outings. And results certainly played a factor in the seeding. The most telling was a late comeback by EMU with three goals after being down to Averett University, 1-0, for a 3-1 victory that earned the Royals (7-6-5, 2-5-2) the eighth seed on tiebreakers over Shenandoah (5-9-4, 2-5-2). The second step of the ODAC tiebreaking protocols -- ODAC 5-Point Tiebreaker -- broke that stalemate.

There was movement among the top-four seeds, each of which awards quarterfinal hosting privileges on Saturday. Washington and Lee University (9-3-5, 7-1-1) earned a 2-0 result at Bridgewater College the Wednesday's lone afternoon affair. That assigned the Generals to second-position in the bracket, while the Eagles (11-4-2, 6-2-1) maintained their grasp on a quarterfinal home game as the fourth seed.

Hampden-Sydney College moved up the ladder into third position thanks to the Tigers' (12-2-2, 6-1-2) 3-1 victory over Randolph-Macon College. H-SC will play as the third seed, while the Yellow Jackets (8-5-4, 2-4-3) slot seventh and travel to WLU on Saturday. The Tigers' opponent will be Randolph College with the WildCats (5-9-4, 3-5-1) seeded sixth following a 4-0 at Virginia Wesleyan University. The Marlins (12-4-1, 6-3-0) own fifth position and head to Bridgewater on the weekend.
