  • TRAVIS BURTON | GUILFORD | LINEBACKER
Burton, a sophomore from Pikeville, N.C., was a dominating force for a Guilford defense that surrendered just 130 yards of total offense and forced three turnovers in the Quakers' 55-0 shutout of Gallaudet in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. Burton registered a team-high 12 tackles including 4.5 for a loss that cost the Bison 17 yards of offense. That TFL total included 3.5 quarterback sacks that accounted for 16 of the lost offensive yardage for GU. This is his second game this season with 4.5 TFLs and 3.5 sacks, joining his effort from the Quakers season-opening matchup with Greensboro College to start the year. Burton's 3.5 sacks tie himself and a few others for third-most in program history. Entering the weekend, only seven players had registered that many sacks in a game in Division III this season. He is the only one to do it twice. His 4.5 TFLs are eighth-most in GC history. Burton was involved in five of Guilford's eight quarterback sacks, and 10 of his 12 stops came on either lost yardage or gains no more than one-yard from scrimmage. For the season, Burton leads the ODAC in both TFLs (15.0) and sacks (8.5) and is fourth in tackles (44). His TFL total is tied for first in Division III, while his sacks number is tied for second in the country.

  • ANTHONY CRAWFORD | WASHINGTON AND LEE | RUNNING BACK
Crawford, a junior from Swarthmore, Pa., put together a monster day in helping Washington and Lee posted a 42-34 win on the road at No. 21/24 Hampden-Sydney on Saturday. The ODAC's leading rusher cracked the century mark for the fourth time in five games as he carried the ball 24 times for 104 yards and four touchdowns, the latter mark matching his career high from last season in a win (35-0) over Averett. Each of Crawford's touchdowns were necessary in maintaining the Generals' lead with the Tigers repeatedly chipping away. He back-to-back scores bridging the first and second quarters, both via 1-yard bursts. His first made it 14-7 WLU with 54 ticks left in the opening frame and his second made it 21-7 with 9:27 showing on the second quarter clock. Crawford four paydirt for the third time in the third quarter, running in from seven yards out for a 35-21 lead with 9:34 on the board. His last TD provided the points necessary to win by a one score (plus 2-point conversion) margin. He ran in from two yards for a 42-28 advantage with 9:42 to go in the fourth quarter. For the season, Crawford leads the ODAC in rushing yardage (678), yards per game (135.6), and rushing touchdowns (9), having scored at least one TD in all five games this season.

  • AIDEN GREFE | BRIDGEWATER | PUNTER
Grefe, a junior from Elkton, Va., put points on the board in an unexpected manner in Bridgewater's tight 24-21 loss at Shenandoah on Saturday. Grefe was called on to punt just once, booming the ball 44 yards on that effort. But he also serves as the Eagles holder on point-after attempts and field goals. It was in this role that Grefe helped keep Bridgewater within striking distance. With 3:50 to play, the Eagles lined up for a short field goal. Instead, Grefe stood up after handling the snap and looked to pass on a fake. With nobody in crimson and gold open, Grefe tucked the ball and beat the defense to the edge for a touchdown run that brought BC to within three at 17-14. The touchdown marked the first points of Grefe's career.
