ODAC Announces Cross Country Awards on Eve of NCAA Championships

SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- On the eve of the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, the ODAC's best have further reason to celebrate following the determination and announcement of the final All-ODAC Cross Country Awards by the league's head coaches.

Four schools saw athletes garner recognition in a vote of the league's head coaches. Washington and Lee University two-time ODAC and region champion Olivia Warr received ODAC Women's Runner of the Year laurels, while University of Lynchburg regional champion Alex Jordan secured ODAC Men's Runner of the Year distinction. Both of the Generals' mentors -- Michael Dager from the women's program and Brandon Spalding from the men's team -- were selected as the ODAC Coaches of the Year by their peers. Bridgewater College first-year Olivia Morra and Roanoke College first-year Nathaniel Orban collected ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades.

Honored originally at the ODAC championships, Washington and Lee's Lydia Harvey and Keaton Rush were named the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athletes of the Year by the league's athletic communications personnel.

The announcement of the ODAC's special awards comes two days before both of WLU's squads and the Lynchburg men's team take part in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. Converse University and OneSpartanburg, Inc. will serve as hosts for the men's 8K championship at 10:00 a.m. ET and the women's 6K title race at 11:00 a.m. ET.

Below is the ODAC's contingent of competing runners.
