FOREST, Va. --- Four schools earned special individual recognition while
Randolph-Macon College and
Guilford College saw a league-best three student-athletes each garner all-league recognition to headline the 2025 All-ODAC Men's Basketball Awards.
Hampden-Sydney College fifth-year playmaker
Adam Brazil secured two special honors. The league's coaches tabbed him the ODAC Player of the Year, while the conference's athletic communications professionals selected him as the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year for a second time. Brazil is among the league leaders in scoring (18.2), assists (85), assist-to-turnover ratio (2.6), free throw shooting (.856), and steals (41).
Roanoke College senior guard
Joshua McClary received ODAC Defensive Player of the Year plaudits. Like Brazil, McClary shines on both ends of the floor as he leads the ODAC in steals (57) and is top-five in scoring (17.1), assists (124), and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.0).
Randolph-Macon mentor
Josh Merkel earns his seventh ODAC Coach of the Year accolade in his 10th year in Ashland. He previously won ODAC top coaching awards in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024. His top-seeded Yellow Jackets have won 20 straight games and are currently the fifth-ranked team in Division III by
D3hoops.com.
Washington and Lee University first-year forward
Connor Amorosi received ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels. He pairs this honor with an All-ODAC Third Team selection after finishing fifth in the ODAC in scoring (15.8 ppg).
Guilford and Randolph-Macon led all schools with three All-ODAC honorees each. The Quakers contingent three first-time all-conference standouts with ODAC second-leading scorer (19.0)
Nick Farrar on first team, the conference's top three-point shooter (.430 3FG%) in guard
Gabe Proctor on the second team, and all-around standout forward
Caleb Farrish on third team.
Randolph-Macon saw guards
Jabril Robinson and
Keishawn Pulley, Jr. earn first team honors. Both appeared on last year's awards lists with Pulley earning his second straight first team nod and Robinson ticking up to the first team. Forward
Malcolm Hodges earned a second team spot this year, his first All-ODAC assignment.
Only three players -- Brazil, Pulley, and Robinson -- are appearing on the All-ODAC men's basketball squads for a second straight season.
