GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Randolph-Macon women's basketball saw three players end in double figure point totals; as the historical season would end in the sweet 16 to the hands of#10 Gettysburg 56-49.

How it Happened:
- The game would start with both teams knocking down back-to-back three-pointers to kick off the night. Gettysburg scored the next four points to take the advantage 7-3 with 5:33 on the clock. The Bullets held a 9-4 lead with 5:16 left in the period. Randolph-Macon answered with six straight points led by four by Morgan Miller (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor), taking a 10-9 lead with :54 seconds on the clock. The Bullets scored the final four points of the period and took a 13-10 lead into the second period.
- In the second period, Gettysburg scored four of the first five points to stretch its lead to 17-11. Miller buried back-to-back three balls to cut the lead to one point at 18-17 with 6:19 on the clock. The Bullets lived by the foul shot and turned foul calls on the Lemon and Black into a 7-0 run, taking their lead to 25-17 with 2:59 on the clock. Neither team was able to do much offensively in the final three minutes of the period. The Yellow Jackets would take a 25-19 deficit into the locker room.
- Randolph-Macon outscored the Bullets 9-6 in the first five minutes of the third period to cut the deficit to 31-28 with 4:34 on the clock. McKenzie Matheny (Fairfax Station, Va./West Springfield) totaled six of the nine points in the third period thus far. The Lemon and Black had the deficit to three at 33-30, but Gettysburg answered with seven straight points. Juliana Park (Fairfax Station, Va./Davidson Day) scored a bucket with seconds left to set the score at 39-32 with ten minutes left.
- In the fourth period, Gettysburg extended its lead to double digits at 44-34 and Matheny would get a bucket to answer. The Bullets took a timeout with a 44-36 lead with 4:44 left in regulation. The score was set at 48-39 with the Bullets leading with under three minutes remaining. The Yellow Jackets knocked down a couple of three balls from Marisa Ziegler (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) and Miller to cut the Bullet lead to 54-49 with :54 seconds left in regulation. The Bullets would drown out the clock and take a 56-49 win.
Inside the Numbers:
- Gettysburg shot 33.3 percent from the floor, as Randolph-Macon knocked down 32.1 percent of its shots.
- The Bullets outrebounded the Yellow Jackets 44-to-34 in the entire game.
- Miller led the Yellow Jackets in points with 14 overall off the bench. The junior knocked down a trio of three balls and also grabbed seven rebounds.
- Matheny and Ziegler both ended the game with 13 points. Matheny pulled down nine rebounds, blocked a shot, had a steal and dished out an assist. Ziegler made a trio of three pointers and grabbed three rebounds.
