ODAC Women's Soccer Report: Week 5

ODAC women's soccer teams featured in 15 total games, going 2-1-0 in non-conference play in conjunction with 12 league games. Batten (8-0-2, 3-0-0), Bridgewater (8-1-1, 3-0-1), and nationally second-ranked Washington and Lee (9-0-0, 5-0-0) went 2-0-0 each in league games. BATN (1) and WLU (2) have combined to allow only three goals TOTAL in 2026. Roanoke (5-3-3, 2-0-1) and Shenandoah (7-3-0, 1-2-0) won their lone league outings, while EMU (4-5-2, 2-1-0), Lynchburg (9-2-0, 3-1-0), Randolph (6-2-2, 2-2-0), and Randolph-Macon (3-5-1, 1-2-0) split their conference fixtures. WLU tops the ODAC chart with 15 points from 15 powered by an ODAC-best nine wins along with Lynchburg.

  • STEPHANIE KOBLISH | BATTEN | FULLBACK
    Koblish, a senior from New York, N.Y., helped the Marlins collect a trio of clean sheets and got involved in the scoring as Batten rattled off three victories including a pair of ODAC victories. Koblish found the back of the net for her first goal of the season in the 80th minute in the Marlins 2-0 victory over Randolph on Wednesday. She helped limit the WildCats to just four shots in that contest and then aided in BATN's efforts to keep Guilford from making a single attempt on their goal in a 3-0 victory over the Quakers on Saturday. The next day, Batten traveled to Arlington to meet Bowdoin College on neutral ground with Koblish helping limit the Polar Bears to just nine shots in a 2-0 win over their foes from the NESCAC. For the season, Koblish and the Marlins defense has allowed just one goal through their first 10 games.

  • ALAINA ALSTON | BATTEN | FORWARD
    Alston, a senior from New Castle, Del., was on the mark twice as Batten posted a 3-0-0 including a pair of ODAC victories. On Wednesday in a 2-0 victory over Randolph College, Alston opened the game's scoring in the 10th minute off an assist from Alexis Manfredi. She then fired a pair of shots (one on-goal) at the Quakers' net in the Marlins' 3-0 win over Guilford College on Saturday. The next day on neutral ground in Arlington, Alston put the game to bed with a 79th minute unassisted tally in BATN's 2-0 triumph over Bowdoin College. For the season, Alston is tied for the ODAC lead in goals scored (9) with EMU's Bridget Hay and Washington and Lee's Megan Zimmerman. Alston is tied for second in points (18) with Hay and Bridgewater's Laura Narby.

  • BRIANNA CURRO
    Bridgewater, junior, forward
    Curro led Bridgewater with 11 points on five goals and one assist during a pair of conference victories. She recorded a hat trick and an assist for seven points in a 12-0 win over Hollins before scoring twice, including the game-winner, in a 7-0 victory over Sweet Briar.

    BRIDGET HAY
    EMU, sophomore, forward
    Hay totaled eight points on four goals, highlighted by a hat trick in EMU's 9-1 victory over Hollins and the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Mary Baldwin. Her four-goal week increased her season total to nine, tying her for the ODAC lead.

    LUNE DENHARTOG
    Lynchburg, sophomore, defender
    DenHartog played 176 minutes across Lynchburg's two conference matches and contributed two points on one goal. Her goal was the game-winner in the Hornets' 2-0 victory over Randolph-Macon.

    CASEY SERTTAS
    Randolph, sophomore, wing
    Serttas erupted for eight points on three goals and two assists in Randolph's 10-0 victory over Hollins, recording a hat trick while contributing to five of the WildCats' goals. The 10-goal performance helped Randolph tie for fourth in program history for most goals scored in a game.

    EMMA OWENS
    Randolph-Macon, sophomore, midfielder
    Owens registered five points on two goals and one assist during Randolph-Macon's 4-0 victory over EMU. She scored the Yellow Jackets' final two goals and added an assist, leading the team in points and offensive production for the match.

    GRACE SUCHY
    Roanoke, senior, goalkeeper
    Suchy played all 180 minutes in goal, making four saves and allowing just one goal for an .800 save percentage. She posted a 90-minute shutout in a 2-0 victory over Guilford before making four saves in a 1-0 loss to Christopher Newport.

    AMELIA MANKE
    Washington and Lee, senior, midfielder
    Manke again anchored the defense as No. 2 Washington and Lee went 2-0, while also contributing two points with her first goal of the season. Her goal proved to be the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Lynchburg, while the Generals finished the week having conceded just two goals all season.

    ELIZABETH ZIMMERMAN
    Washington and Lee, junior, forward/midfielder
    Zimmerman scored four points on two goals as No. 2 Washington and Lee went 2-0 with victories over Averett and Lynchburg. She was the only General to score in both games, extending her goal-scoring streak to three consecutive matches while helping W&L outscore its two opponents 11-1.
