  • OSCAR WHITELY | BRIDGEWATER | LINEBACKER
Whitely, a senior from Powhatan, Va., picks up his first ODAC weekly honor of the season after registering yet another double figure tackle game and getting involved in BC's turnover efforts in helping the Eagles post a 51-48 last second victory at Roanoke College on Saturday afternoon in Salem. Whitely added to his ODAC leading tackle figures with not just 12 overall stops, but 10 of those solo efforts in helping limit the Maroons to 334 yards of offense. He made one stop behind the line of scrimmage. He was in on one of two Bridgewater takeaways as he turned Jayden Booth's second quarter strip-sack of the RC quarterback into a miscue as Whitely recovered the loose ball at the 40-yard line with 2:55 to go in the second quarter. That led to a Bridgewater touchdown at a 31-12 lead, the Eagles' largest advantage of the game. Overall, six of Whitely's tackles came within 3 yards of (or behind) the line of scrimmage. For the season, Whitely is second in the ODAC in total tackles (97) and first in solo stops (56). He has notched 5.0 tackles for a loss with one interception and one fumble recovery. He has finished with 10 or more tackles in all but one of his eight games played this season.

  • PARKER BURKE | BRIDGEWATER | QUARTERBACK
Burke, a junior from Waxhaw, N.C., earns his second ODAC weekly honor of the season after helping Bridgewater post a 51-48 last-second victory at Roanoke College on Saturday afternoon. Burke shattered the Bridgewater single-game passing yardage record as he went 28-of-42 for 497 yards and four touchdowns through the air. His 497-yard outburst is the third-most in Division III this season and eclipsed the 401 yards that Carlos Gonzalez achieved against Randolph-Macon College on November 5, 2011. Burke completed passes to nine different receivers with three going over 100 yards. He connected with Brandon Anderson three times for 126 yards including a 73-yard touchdown for a 24-12 lead with 5:00 to play in the second quarter. Tino Ramirez caught a game-high eight passes from Burke for 116 yards including a 3-yard scoring throw for a 17-7 edge at the outset of the second quarter. Burke found Nick Barahona six times for 112 yards with a game-tying (48-48) 44-yard touchdown play with 3:14 to go in the contest. Burke's remaining TD pass went to Brendan Hartley and covered 27 yards for a 31-12 advantage with 1:51 to play in the first half. For the season, Burke -- who was 3-for-4 for 24 yards on the final drive leading to the game-winning field goal – is second in the ODAC in passing yards (1,468), completions (140), and attempts (233). He has thrown nine touchdown passes against two interceptions.

  • SHANE GLENN | BRIDGEWATER | KICKER
Glenn, a sophomore from Hartfield, Va., had just about as good a day as a kicker could have in helping Bridgewater post a 51-48 last-second victory at Roanoke College on Saturday in Salem. Glenn accounted for 12 points on the day by going 2-for-2 on field goal attempts and 6-for-6 on point-after kicks. It was his boot from 36-yards away as time-expired that secured a wild victory for the Eagles that saw them lead by as many as 19 points in the second quarter only to fall behind in the fourth quarter and come back with Glenn's second field goal emphasizing the effort. Glenn opened the game's scoring with a 33-yard field goal to cap a 12-play 59-yard game-opening possession. Glenn, who came into this game 0-for-2 on FG attempts and with two points on his stat sheet, now accounts for 14 points this year.
