  • SAM SMITH | RANDOLPH-MACON | POINT GUARD
Smith, a junior from Chesterfield, Va., put together a strong all-around week in helping Randolph-Macon secure the No. 2 seed in the upcoming ODAC tournament with a pair of ODAC wins over Virginia Wesleyan (54-39) and at Roanoke (55-42). Against the Marlins, Smith registered 16 points on 6-of-12 from the field and 3-of-6 from the line. She added six rebounds (5 defensive), five assists, and five steals. Versus the Maroons, Smith dropped in 14 points featuring a 3-of-6 showing from deep and cashing in all four of her foul shots. He pulled down 10 rebounds (6 defensive) for her first career double-double while adding an assist, four steals, and a blocked shot. Smith now has 331 career assists for 10th-most at RMC, while her 116 dimes this season are a new personal-best. That goes with a new personal-high 273 points, and she is one steal away from matching her single-season best (53) from last year. For the season, Smith is averaging 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds. She leads the ODAC in assists (116) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8) and ranks fifth in three-point shooting (.333, 38-of-114), eighth in three-pointers made (38), and ninth in steals (52).

  • MARY SCHLEUSNER | WASHINGTON AND LEE | FORWARD
Schleusner, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., continued her strong season with yet another complete all-around effort in helping nationally fourth-ranked Washington and Lee post the first-ever unbeaten full regular season (25-0) in ODAC and program history as well as the second straight and sixth overall blemish-free conference slate (16-0) of games. The Generals won at Bridgewater (67-38) and over Guilford (85-62) to secure the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament. Against the Eagles, Schleusner posted her first of two double-doubles on the week with 11 points and 13 rebounds (3 offensive). She added an assist, a steal, and a blocked shot in her 29 minutes on the floor. She then exploded for her third 30-plus point game of the season against the Quakers, going 13-of-23 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line on the way to 31 points. She pulled down 21 rebounds (9 offensive) and chipped in one assist, five steals, and three blocked shots to her line. For the season, Schleusner leads the ODAC in scoring (20.6) and rebounding (16.8). She is second in blocked shots (54) and fifth in field goal shooting (.497, 198-of-398). She leads Division III with 23 double-doubles.

For her career, Schleusner is just 42 points shy of tying former Randolph-Macon national player of the year Megan Silva for the all-time ODAC basketball (men and women) scoring record of 2,371 points. Schleusner currently boasts 1,868 rebounds as she seeks to become just the second player at any level of NCAA women's basketball to achieve 2,000 career points and 2,000 career rebounds.
