ODAC Women's Lacrosse Report: Week 6

ODAC squads took part in 13 games last week with four league outings. Washington and Lee, which improved from No. 10 to No. 6 in the latest IWLCA top-25 poll, picked up one of those conference wins in addition to upsetting then seventh-ranked Gettysburg for the Generals' second top-10 upset victory in the last two weeks. They are now 3-0 in league play and 8-2 overall along with Lynchburg. Both sets of Hornets are 2-0 in ODAC games with Shenandoah at 6-3 overall. Randolph-Macon is also 6-3 with Bridgewater at 5-3. Six conference teams have a .500 or better overall winning percentage.

  • IMAN HADDAD | WASHINGTON AND LEE | GOALKEEPER
    Haddad, a senior from Alexandria, Va., put in a pair of 60-minute shifts to help the then nationally 10th-ranked Generals post a pair of wins to improve to No. 6 in the IWLCA poll. Haddad made five stops against a strong Randolph-Macon defense in Washington and Lee's 13-9 win in Ashland. Then on the weekend, Haddad came up with 14 stops and limited All-American Julia Daly to just one goal in the Generals 11-10 triumph over then No. 7 Gettysburg College. Haddad notched a .583 save percentage while facing 31 total shots. For the season, Haddad is 8-2 with 73 saves and 73 goals allowed in 511:33 in front of WLU's goal. She owns a .500 save percentage and an 8.55 goals against average.

  • LARA BAKI | WASHINGTON AND LEE | ATTACK
    Baki, a sophomore from Manhasset, N.Y., registered 10 points over two wins for Washington and Lee to help the Generals improve from 10th to No. 6 in the latest IWLCA poll. Baki began her week with seven points on four goals and three assists in a 13-9 ODAC road win at Randolph-Macon. Two of her goals were unassisted and she added a ground ball. The reigning ODAC Rookie of the Year then scored three times in the Generals' 11-10 upset victory of then seventh-ranked Gettysburg College. Baki posted the game's opening goal and then kicked off a five-goal unanswered run that saw WLU go from trailing 6-5 midway through the second quarter to taking a 10-6 advantage with 2:26 to go in the third quarter. For the season, Baki has posted 31 points on 27 goals and four assists.
