ODAC Men's Lacrosse Report: Week 9

It was all about conference play last week for ODAC men's lacrosse with all nine completed games – No. 3 Lynchburg had its game against Stevenson canceled – featuring as league contests. The Hornets remain atop the conference standings at 4-0 in conference games and 9-1 overall. No. 19 Washington and Lee won a pair of ODAC outings to improve to 5-1 in the conference and 8-5 overall. Randolph-Macon, which is now receiving votes towards the USILA top-20, improved 9-2 overall and 3-1 in conference action in its only game of the week. Lynchburg and RMC are joined by Bridgewater (9-4) with the most wins in the ODAC.

    Beatty, a senior from Summit, N.J., helped nationally 19th-ranked Washington and Lee hold two ODAC opponents under 10 goals to help the Generals improve to 5-1 in conference play and 8-5 overall with wins at Bridgewater (20-8) and over Hampden-Sydney (19-8). On Wednesday at BC, Beatty caused a pair of turnovers and picked up a ground ball while dogging the opposition's playmakers. The 2025 All-ODAC Third Team choice at short-stick did much the same versus Hampden-Sydney, causing two more turnovers and gathering four ground balls while also getting forward to score his fourth goal of the year. For the season, Beatty has registered 36 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers to go with six points offensively.

  • LUKE CALDWELL | WASHINGTON AND LEE | ATTACKMAN
    Caldwell, a first-year from Hopewell, N.J., is back in the ODAC weekly awards circle for a second time after helping nationally 19th-ranked Washington and Lee to ODAC wins at Bridgewater (20-8) and over Hampden-Sydney (19-8). Caldwell registered 14 points on the week with seven in each contest. At BC, he scored five times and dished out a pair of assists while also picking up a pair of ground balls. Versus H-SC, he scored once and handed out a season-high six assists with one caused turnover. The six helpers are tied for the most in the ODAC this season with Randolph-Macon's Grant Sobel. For the year, Caldwell leads the ODAC in points (62) and assists (61) and ranks sixth in goals scored (31).
