• United Soccer Coaches Preseason Top-25
  • United Soccer Coaches (USC) released its annual preseason top-25 on August 4
  • Lynchburg opens the season tied for 14th in the country with Washington University in St. Louis
  • Hampden-Sydney is one of seven schools also receiving consideration towards the top-25
  • Last year's final four is this year's top-four in the survey with defending champion Tufts University slotted first ahead of 2025 runner-up Trinity University (Texas); semifinalists St. Olaf College and Emory University sit third and fourth, respectively

There will be plenty of star power on conference fields for ODAC men's soccer fans with 22 of the 39 All-ODAC honorees from 2025 back for another run in 2026. That includes five members of the All-ODAC First Team, nine from the All-ODAC Second Team, and eight from the All-ODAC Third.

Reigning ODAC Coach of the Year Ryan Bennison welcomes back all four of his all-conference Eagles to Bridgewater including ODAC Offensive Player of the Year, forward Trey Widrick. Midfielder Matthew Viscuso, last season's ODAC Rookie of the Year, is one of a league-best five All-ODAC players returning to Lynchburg's roster. Hampden-Sydney boasts four returners, while Washington and Lee features three all-conference standouts and Shenandoah benefits from a pair of stars back in Winchester.

Below are the win-loss records for each coach entering the 2025 season.

• ODAC teams – along with all of Division III – begin official regular season play on Tuesday, September 1
• The first conference game of the season is a bit earlier than normal with Averett traveling to Randolph-Macon on Wednesday, September 16
• The first full conference Saturday is set for September 26
• The ODAC Tournament will feature the top eight teams from the ODAC regular season table in a Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday format
  • Quarterfinals: Saturday, October 31, at #1-4 Seeds
  • Semifinals: Wednesday, November 4, at two highest seeds in bracket matchups
  • Championship: Saturday, November 7, at highest remaining seed
  • If one school were slated to host the field hockey, men's soccer, and women's soccer championship games on that final Saturday (11/7/26), men's soccer would move to Sunday in odd years, while women's soccer would move to Sunday in even years
• The Division III Men's Soccer Championship bracket will be announced on NCAA.com on Monday, November 9

    • Capital University (OAC) and the Columbus Sports Commission will serve as hosts of this year's final event with the men's soccer final four joining the women's final four in Columbus, Ohio. All six games over the four days will be played at Historic Crew Stadium.
