Sido, a sophomore from Dallas, Texas, had a hand in all four of Hampden-Sydney's touchdowns as part of a career day in his first collegiate start under center in the Tigers later 29-28 setback to Wabash College in
The Gentleman's Classic. Sido, who started the game 7-for-7 passing, threw for a career-high 153 yards with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Sutton Lasso in the second quarter. He finished 15-of-23 through the air. As strong as he was passing, Sido was electric with his feet as he ran for a game and career-best 184 yards and three touchdowns. He opened the game's scoring with a 46-yard burst and then added two fourth-quarter TD runs of 11 and one yard, the latter giving H-SC the lead for the first time since his initial long run. Sido finished with 337 yards of total offense, 122 more than the next highest total in the ODAC in week one.
