Conroy, a sophomore from Bel Air, Md., had a special day roaming the middle of the defense for Shenandoah as he tied a program record for tackles in helping the Hornets down Methodist University in their season opening. Conroy made 11 solo stops along with 11 assisted tackles to match former standout Ben Burgan with a SU-record 22 stops against the Monarchs. That total would have matched the fourth-best output in Division III in 2022.* Conroy, a 2022 All-ODAC Third Team pick by the league's head coaches, made one stop behind the line of scrimmage. He also helped put points on the board and give Shenandoah the lead for good as he blocked a punt that went back into Methodist's end zone for a safety to give the Hornets a 9-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
