FOREST, Va. --- National tournament qualifiers Roanoke College and Washington and Lee University each saw 10 standouts garner all-conference recognition with one special individual honor apiece to highlight the 2024 All-ODAC Men's Lacrosse Awards.

Tyler Hadley was tabbed the ODAC Player of the Year after helping lead the Hornets to the ODAC title, while head coach
J.B. Sheridan from ODAC runner-up Randolph-Macon College received ODAC Coach of the Year plaudits from his peers. WLU face-off specialist
Tyler Spano collected ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels, and Roanoke midfielder
Sean Kennedy earned ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in a vote of the league's athletic communications professionals.
The 2024 all-league lists are chalk full of established stars with 29 players receiving All-ODAC recognition for at least the second straight season. That includes 16 members of the current All-ODAC First Team.

Weston Hammond. Lynchburg's Hadley is joined by
Jake Rust on the first team for a second straight year. Hampden-Sydney features
Ray O'Brien and
Gaines Weis as repeat first team selections. Randolph-Macon's
Jack Smith caps the list of players returning to the top awards team.
Six moved up to the first team from last year's All-ODAC Second Team. That includes Bridgewater's
Gabriel Alexander, H-SC's
Thomas Harry, LYN's
Dom Zingo, RMC's
Mike Allen, and WLU's
Jack Elliott and
Elliot Cohen. Making the leap from the 2023 All-ODAC Third Team are HSC's
Conor Kilfeather and WLU's
Alex Brown.
Hadley, a graduate student from Summit, N.J., is the last line of a championship defense that has allowed just 8.64 goals per game and routinely holds their opponents below their season scoring average. Entering the NCAA Tournament, Hadley has logged 940:35 of game time, the second-highest mark in the league, and posted an ODAC-best 8.87 goals against average. He has made 173 saves on a .553 save percentage, second-highest in the conference. In official ODAC games, Hadley posted ODAC-bests of 7.13 GAA and .576 save percentage. He is now a two-time All-ODAC First Team selection. For his career, Hadley has racked up 9.41 GAA, .566 save percentage, and 571 saves in 2,786:17 in field time over 69 games played.
The 2024 campaign was history-making for Coach Sheridan's Yellow Jackets. Randolph-Macon won a two ODAC tournament games as seeded upsets with #5 RMC defeating #4 Hampden-Sydney in the quarterfinals and #1 Washington and Lee in the semifinals. The Yellow Jackets appearance in the ODAC title game against Lynchburg was a first for the program. Sheridan closed his 14th season guiding Randolph-Macon with a 128-105 (.549) career mark. That included a 15-5 record this season, the most victories in program single-season history.
Spano, a first-year from Charlottesville, Va., has put together a stellar first season from the "X" at Washington and Lee. He enters the NCAA Tournament second in the ODAC with a .661 face-off winning percentage. He is 234-of-354 overall with his wins ranking third in the conference. He is second in the league in ground balls with 157. In ODAC competition, Spano led all players with a .703 winning percentage, going 97-of-138 overall. He picked up 68 ground balls, second-most in the league.
Kennedy, a senior from Houston, Texas, shines on and off the field for Roanoke. In the classroom, Kennedy maintains a 4.0 grade point average as an actuarial science major with concentrations in finance, sports analytics, and statistics. One of four Roanoke class Valedictorians, Kennedy is the recipient of the Paul W. Rice Memorial Award recognizing the senior who has contributed significantly to campus life. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, serving as philanthropy chair. He is also a member of three honor societies -- Alpha Lambda Delta (freshman honors), Omicron Delta Epsilon (economics), and Pi Mu Epsilon (mathematics). Kennedy has served the campus in the economics undergraduate reading group, Roanoke Fly Fishing Club, Stat Crew for RC athletics, and as a former member of SAAC. Kennedy already has a job lined up post-graduation as an internal sales analyst for PIMCO, an investment management firm in Austin, Texas, at which he interned last summer.
On the field, Kennedy has posted 30 points on 23 goals and seven assists entering the NCAA Tournament. He registered at least one point in 16-of-19 games played and has started all but four games this season. He collected the first three hat tricks of his career this year, all in ODAC contests. He currently boasts career totals of 57 goals and 24 assists in 61 games played. Earlier this year, Kennedy was recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as an All-American Athlete of the Year recipient for his athletic accomplishments and dedication to strength and conditioning.
