ODAC Men's Volleyball Report: Week 10

Just a few weeks remain in the first ODAC men's volleyball regular season. League teams continued their campaign with 13 matches last week including six league outings. EMU and Randolph-Macon each went 2-0 in league play with Randolph College going 3-1 for their most successful week of the season. RMC remains atop the ODAC table at 8-0 in league play and 16-8 overall. EMU (7-2) and Roanoke (6-2) are trying to keep pace with three and four league matches remaining, respectively. The Maroons (18-8) own the most overall victories in the ODAC.

  • KAEDEN NOBLE | ROANOKE | JR. | LIBERO | DEEP RUN, N.C.
    Noble, a junior from Deep Run, N.C., earns his first ODAC weekly honor after collecting 53 total digs and making good on 60-of-61 (.984) serve reception attempts in Roanoke's 2-1 week. In a 3-1 ODAC loss at EMU, Noble picked up all 12 of his serve reception attempts and registered 21 digs, just one shy of his career-high in any match and the fifth-highest total (tied for 9th overall) in a four-set match in Division III this season. In a 3-2 ODAC win over Randolph, Noble again posted 21 digs and went 38-of-39 on serve reception. He also handed out four assists. In a 3-0 win over Bethany (W.Va.), Noble picked up 11 digs and was 10-for-10 on serves in which he was targeted. For the season, Noble has collected a career-high 258 digs at 2.80 per set. He is 443-of-464 (.955) on serve reception.

    Beentjes, a graduate student outside from Beverwijk, The Netherlands, picks up his first ODAC weekly honor after helping Randolph to a 3-1 week with an overall strong set of matches that includes 40 overall kills and a .323 attack percentage. In a 3-0 win over Bethany (W.Va.) in one of two matches on Wednesday, Beentjes posted nine kills on a .571 attack percentage with three aces. He chipped in eight digs and two total blocks defensively. In a 3-0 win over Averett, Beentjes registered 11 kills on a .364 clip with two more aces, 10 digs, and a block. Beentjes and WildCats competed in nine sets on Saturday beginning with a 3-2 loss to Roanoke. Beentjes went for 10 kills along with 14 digs and a block. He capped his week with 10 more winners at a .409 percentage with five digs and two blocks in a 3-1 win over Bethany. For the season, Beentjes has posted 203 kills at 2.64 per set with a .249 attack percentage. He has 13 aces, 158 digs (2.05/set) and 22 total blocks.
