HAMDPEN-SYDNEY, Va. --- The Hampden-Sydney College football Offensive Line has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for games played during the opening weekend, September 4-6. They were selected for their outstanding efforts during the Tigers' 38-9 non-conference road win at (RV)Delaware Valley on Sept. 6 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

H-SC's offensive line at DelVal featured senior team captain and right guard William Stimmel (Atlanta, GA), sophomore right tackle Jacob Pressinger (Spotsylvania), sophomore team captain and left guard Cash Topinka (Charlotte, NC), sophomore left tackle Thomas Wilson (Charlotte, NC) and freshman center Braden McIntire (Louisa). The unit helped the Tigers rush for 237 yards on 46 attempts (5.2), adding 204 yards passing on 25 attempts for 441 yards of total offense on 71 plays (6.2), while allowing no sacks.

Playing in a reserve role against the Aggies were seniors Robert Caskey (King George) and Elijah Griffin (Beuna Vista), sophomores Bill Ball (Yorktown), Preston Lonker (Cloverdale) and Jonas Taylor (Spotsylvania), along with freshman Owen Bellson (Dallas, TX).

H-SC (1-0) will welcome visiting (RV)Washington & Jefferson (PA) College (0-1) in its home opener on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. on Fulton Field at Lewis C. Everett Stadium.
