ODAC Women's Tennis Report: Fall #2

ODAC women's tennis teams and players competed in a second straight heavy week of fall action. Sweet Briar hosted its annual Battle of the Blue Ridge multi-team event that also included players from Guilford, Lynchburg, Randolph-Macon, and Shenandoah. Bridgewater was among the outfits that competed in traditional dual matches with a trip to Maryland and Pennsylvania over the weekend.

  • SARAH SLAGLE / REGAN WITT | BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE
    Slage, a junior from Charlestown, W.Va.,  and Witt, a sophomore from Pennsville, N.J., went 3-0 at No. 1 doubles on Bridgewater's trip to schools northeast of the Eagles' campus. On Friday, Slagle and Witt earned a 6-4 triumph over Shelby Carter and Sofia McCoy from host Stevenson University in a 7-0 team victory over the Mustangs. On Saturday in the first of two matches, BC's duo posted a 6-0 win over Mary Brusstar and Delany Stryd from host Eastern University on the way to a 6-0 triumph over the EU Eagles. Later that day, Slagle and Witt downed Jessie Friel and Jada Young, 6-4, from host Arcadia University in a 7-0 team triumph over the Knights. 

  • SARAH SLAGLE | BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE
    Slage, a junior from Charlestown, W.V., went 3-0 at No. 1 singles to help propel Bridgewater to a 3-0 team showing on the Eagles trip to Maryland and Pennsylvania over the weekend. On Friday in a 7-0 team victory at Stevenson University, Slagle posted a 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (13-11) win over Shelby Carter. On Saturday at Eastern University in the first of two matches, Slagle earned a 6-2, 6-1 win over Mary Brusstar on the way to a 6-0 team win over the EU Eagles. Later that day in a 7-0 victory at Arcadia University, Slagle posted a 6-1, 6-3 win over Jada Young.
