Competing at the 38th Annual Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University at Winter Place Park in Salisbury, Md., Zar broke the Batten University program record for 6K times by finishing at 20:23.5. That is the fastest 6K time in the ODAC this season. She used a pace of 5:28.1 per-mile to win the event by 46.9 seconds and become the first Marlin to crack 21:00.0, surpassing the 21:53.4 posted by Marissa Coombs at the 2017 NCAA Division-III South/Southeast Region Championships.

Batten finished fourth in the 11-team field with 67 points, 23 back of the host Sea Gulls.

  • SAM DAUNT | WASHINGTON AND LEE UNIVERSITY
Daunt, a junior from Haymarket, Va., earns his second ODAC weekly honor of the season after posting a top-10 finish in a loaded field at the Division III Pre-Nationals / Running of the Cows meet hosted by Carleton College at the Bill Huyck Cross Country Course in Northfield, Minn. Daunt registered the second-fastest 8K top-time in the ODAC this season by completing the challenging course in 24:43.0. He used a 4:58.3 per-mile pace to chime in 10th overall out of 328 runners and first among three Washington and Lee runners – Matt Kelly (19th - 24:59.3) and Robert Cooper (25th - 25:03.9) – that were separated by just 20.9 seconds.
