ODAC Equestrian Report 11

The final two shows of the ODAC single-discipline regular season are in the books with the ODAC Single-Discipline Equestrian Tournament slated for next week. Sweet Briar will be the host of the three-round event slated for Thursday-Saturday, March 19-21. The bracket will be released on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. ET.

Berry College was involved in the final two events with the Vikings traveling to both fifth-ranked Sweet Briar (Friday) and third-ranked Lynchburg (Saturday). The Vixens claimed the first event via a 9-1 results, while the Hornets posted the win in the second affair, 8-2.

  • SADIE SWIFT | SWEET BRIAR COLLEGE
    Swift, a first-year from Leonardtown, Md., collects her first ODAC weekly honor following following her high-point ride over fences in the nationally fifth-ranked Sweet Briar's 9-1 triumph over visiting Berry College on Friday in both schools' single-discipline regular season finale. Swift earned MOP honors over fences as she racked up an 85 score to defeat Meaghan Kursman by a 17-point margin, 85-68. They both rode Kobe in competition.

  • AMAYA BELLFIELD | UNIVERSITY OF LYNCHBURG
    Bellfield, a first-year from Longmont, Colo., returns to the ODAC awards circle after a double-MOP performance in nationally third-ranked Lynchburg's 8-2 victory over Berry College in both schools' single-discipline regular season finale. On the flat, Bellfield scored a session-high 87 while riding Itina. She bester Haley Wilson by 16 points, 87-71. Bellfield also achieved a point over fences, against securing MOP honors with an 87 to win by seven points over Meaghan Kursman. They rode Zehm in competition.
