ODAC Men's Tennis Report: Report 15

  • NICHOLAS PIERREUX / RICARDS SPAKS | UNIVERSITY OF LYNCHBURG
    Pierreux, a first-year from Ottignies Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, and Spaks, a sophomore from Liepaja, Latvia, went 2-0 in top-flight doubles action against ODAC foes, helping Lynchburg to a 1-1 week. In a 5-2 team loss to nationally 33rd-ranked Washington and Lee, Pierreux and Spaks posted a 6-3 win over Henry Imorde and Heys Parker. The Hornets' duo then earned a 6-1 win over Corey Beshoar and Eli Entsminger in Lynchburg's 7-0 team win over Bridgewater. Pierreux and Spaks are now 3-0 this season when partnered together, adding a win against Division I-member St. Francis (Pa.) earlier this spring to this week's pair of results.

  • JACOB MARTIN | RANDOLPH COLLEGE
    Martin, a junior from Wadebridge Cornwall, Great Britain, earned a pair of well-won victories in top-flight singles action to help Randolph to a 1-1 team week that included a 7-0 triumph over Guilford. In that outing, Martin earned a 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 win over Andres Mercedes. Then in a 6-1 team loss at No. 20 Mary Washington, Martin turned in a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Evan Fisher. Martin now has an eight-match winning streak to bring his overall singles record to 10-1 on the season.
