ODAC Women's Lacrosse Report: Week 7

Seven of the 11 games featuring ODAC teams over the past week were in-conference matchups. Randolph-Macon was the only program to win twice, improving to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in ODAC games. Washington and Lee (9-2, 4-0) maintain its No. 6 ranking in the IWLCA poll with a win last week to remain tied atop the league table with Shenandoah, who is 3-0 in conference games. Lynchburg (8-4) joins RMC with the second-most overall wins in the standings behind WLU's nine.

  • HAILEY PIERCE | RANDOLPH-MACON | MIDFIELDER
    Pierce, a sophomore from Mechanicsville, Va., was a key player on both ends of the field in helping Randolph-Macon rattle off a pair of ODAC wins at Lynchburg (12-8) and over Bridgewater (15-5). Against the Hornets, Pierce caused a pair of turnovers and picked up four ground balls with six draw controls. She also got forward for a pair of goals with one from free-position and the other unassisted. Versus the Eagles, Pierce again was on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal in addition to three caused turnovers, a pair of ground balls, and four draw controls. For the season, Pierce is fourth in the ODAC with 58 draw controls. She has picked up 16 ground balls and caused 13 turnovers. She has notched 14 points on 10 goals and 4 assists.

  • LILLY FOWLER | RANDOLPH-MACON | ATTACK
    Fowler, a senior from Phoenix, Md., is back in the weekly awards circle for a second time this season after posting 12 points on nine goals and three assists to help Randolph-Macon to a pair of conference victories last week. In a 12-8 road win at Lynchburg, Fowler scored five times and handed out an assist. Three of her goals were unassisted with one via free-position. In a 15-5 home win over Bridgewater, Fowler contributed on six goals, scoring four times herself with a pair of assists. She also picked up a pair of ground balls and caused three turnovers. Three of her goals scored were unassisted with two from free-position. For the season, Fowler leads the ODAC in points (60) and assists (23) and is third in goals scored (37).
