FOREST, Va. --- The newest ODAC sport marks the first true spring championship of the 2025 season with the four-team field for men's volleyball announced following the completion of conference play on Saturday afternoon.

Randolph-Macon College ran the table for a perfect 12-0 mark in the league's double round-robin inaugural season format, awarding the Yellow Jackets the ODAC regular season title and the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Men's Volleyball Tournament. The rest of the field needed deep tiebreakers to determine.

Eastern Mennonite University, Roanoke College, and Virginia Wesleyan University all finished with 8-4 league records. While their separation from the rest of the league -- along with Randolph-Macon -- made it easy to determine the four teams that would compete for the first ODAC men's volleyball trophy, but not so much which team would play from what position in the field.

All three tied programs went 1-1 against each other, making the ODAC's first tiebreaker step, head-to-head results, ineffective in breaking the stalemate. The same could be said for the second and third steps -- the ODAC Five-Point Tiebreaker and top-down comparison -- given that each program's win-loss profile is identical. That led to the fourth step in the procedure, set differential amongst the tied programs. Roanoke's four contests against EMU and VWU resulted in a plus-2 set differential, affording the Maroons the second seed. EMU posted a plus-1 set differential, assigning the Royals to third position and a semifinal date at RC on Wednesday. Virginia Wesleyan finished with a minus-3 set differential, awarding the Marlins the fourth seed and a showdown at RMC in the semifinals.
