ODAC Field Hockey Report: Week 1

Three ODAC teams started off the new season with unbeaten records. Lynchburg and Shenandoah, both ranked by the NFHCA, started off the season with 2-0 marks, while Randolph-Macon opens its 2025 account with a victory.

  • VALENTINA AMBROGI-TORRES | RANDOLPH-MACON | GK
Torres, a junior from Richmond, Va., helped Randolph-Macon keep a clean sheet with a 2-0 victory over McDaniel in the Yellow Jackets season opener. Ambrogi-Torres, an All-ODAC Second Team choice last year, saw eight shots fired her way with five on-target. She set aside each to mark her eighth game with five or more saves out of the last nine she has played dating back to last season.

On Saturday, she notched the game's opening goal just 3:37 into the contest on the way to a 4-0 victory over DePauw University. On Sunday, Lenahan assisted Kayleigh Vodvarka's game-tying score for a 1-1 draw through regulation at Denison University. In overtime, Lenahan again played provider, this time feeding Reagan Flory for the winner just 1:17 into extra time.
