Washington and Lee Lifts Both ODAC Swimming Trophies

Nine Men's Championship Records Fall, Seven Overall Marks Reset

GREENSBORO, N.C. --- ODAC fans were welcomed to a series of familiar outcomes along with aire of fresh results after three-plus days of competition at the 2026 ODAC Swimming Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Washington and Lee University continued its dominance in the team standings, claiming both conference trophies for the fifth straight season. The Generals have now donned 35 women's crowns along with lifting 11 of the 12 men's trophies since men's swimming became an official ODAC championship sport in 2015.

Four schools saw swimmers take home gold medals after winning events with each of those institutions -- Bridgwater College, University of Lynchburg, Roanoke College, Washington and Lee -- enjoying multiple victories. Six different Generals were responsible for nine event victories for WLU, while four Hornets accounted for seven Lynchburg wins, three Maroons helped RC to six triumphs, and two Eagles finished first in four individual events.

The Generals were especially strong in the relays, winning four men's and four women's events of the 10 competed. Bridgewater accounted for the remaining men's relay victory, while Lynchburg stood atop the podium in the remaining women's relay.

All 16 ODAC records -- nine championship and seven overall -- were achieved on the men's side with some more than once. There were also a massive amount of NCAA B-cut times either matched or eclipsed with all but one occurring on the men's side of the ledger.

Several individual award winners were recognized on Saturday night. Bridgewater's Zachary Erb and Roanoke's Halle Schart were named ODAC Swimmers of the Meet, while Lynchburg mentor Brad Dunn took home both ODAC Coach of the Year awards. Fellow Hornet Henry Brooks collected ODAC Men's Rookie of the Meet laurels, while BC's Tessa Gorby garnered the same distinction from the women's competition. Generals' seniors Jackson Hall and Paige McBoyle received ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolades. Bridgewater senior Grace Warren fifth Eagles' women's swimmer and seventh overall to earn the Bonne Kestner Sportsmanship Award.

The full slate of All-ODAC Swimming Awards will be published later on Sunday afternoon.
