ODAC Wrestling Report: Week 14

Championship week is here! Nationally top-ranked Roanoke – rated No. 1 in dual events by both the NWCA and The Open Mat as well as top-3 in tournament rankings by both outlets – collected its third straight solo regular season title and fourth consecutive overall championship after topping the ODAC's dual match standings at 6-0 in league outings and 15-0 overall.

There were five dual matches last week, all featuring as in-league showdowns

  • Washington and Lee def. Greensboro, 46-3
  • Shenandoah def. Randolph, 33-19
  • Shenandoah def. Greensboro, 31-14
  • Roanoke def. Washington and Lee, 30-7
  • Roanoke def. Averett, 45-0


The 2026 ODAC Wrestling Championships are slated for Saturday, February 14. Shenandoah University will be serving as host for the second time. The Hornets' previously welcomed wrestlers and fans to the 2023 event. Full details on the event can be found at the ODAC championship website. There will be more to come throughout the week as seeding and schedules are finalized.

  • HUNTER MOORE | ROANOKE | 184 LBS
    Moore, a junior from Boulder City, Nev., closed the regular season with a pair of victories at 184 pounds to help lead nationally top-ranked Roanoke to a pair of ODAC dual match wins to secure the program's third straight solo ODAC regular season title. In a 30-7 win over Washington and Lee, Moore won by technical fall (20-3, 6:44) over Evan Surmay. In a 45-0 shutout of Averett, Moore won by fall after 4:11 on the mat over Khalil Mitchell, the seventh-ranked wrestler in the NWCA's Region 4 rankings. Moore is currently slotted fifth in that chart.

  • JUDE ROBSON | ROANOKE | 133 LBS
    Robson, a senior from Staunton, Va., collects his second straight ODAC weekly honor following a pair of wins over regionally-ranked opponents at 133 pounds to help nationally top-ranked Roanoke to a pair of ODAC victories to lock up the program's third straight solo conference championship. In a 30-7 win over Washington and Lee, Robson posted an 8-2 decision over Vincent Ziccardi, the third-ranked wrestler in the NWCA's Region 4 listing. In a 45-0 shutout of Averett, Robson won by technical fall (19-4, 6:35) over AJ Orlando, the fourth-rated competitor in the region. Robson not only tops the region chart, but he is currently ranked sixth in Division III by both the NWCA and The Open Mat.
