SWARTHMORE, Pa. --- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team concluded its 2025-26 season on Saturday with a 4-0 loss against No. 9 Carnegie Mellon at Swarthmore College.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tartans (15-5) claimed wins at doubles positions 2 and 3 to begin the start, dropping only five games in the process. For W&L, junior Heys Parker and first-year Henry Imorde led, 6-5, at No. 1 at the time the doubles point was clinched.
- Alex Feies got the Tartans' second team point at No. 1 with a 6-3, 6-1 win against Parker, before Daniel Kong downed first-year Todd Cannaliato 6-3, 7-5 at No. 6.
- Raghav Jangbahadur closed out the match with a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 2, while Brendan Hendrata led by a 6-3, 5-3 score at No. 4.
- Junior Sanjheev Rao and first-year Pearce Lane had just finished their first sets when the match ended. Both went to a tiebreak, with Lane earned a one-set lead over Takeshi Koey, 7-6 (3).
END-OF-SEASON NOTES:
- The Generals wrap up their 2025-26 season with an overall record of 12-11. They captured the program's 43rd ODAC Championship this season and appeared in the NCAA Division III Team Championship for the 31st time in program history.
