FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University senior
Lauren Long joins a very small list of athletes in any sport in ODAC history as the three-time All-American collected her fourth ODAC Player of the Year nod to highlight the 2025-26 All-ODAC Women's Tennis Awards.
The Generals' top player, who again is tracking towards All-American laurels after being selected to the Division III Women's Tennis Championship singles tournament, also received the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year award for a second straight season. WLU mentor Erin Ness was recognized by her peers as the ODAC Coach of the Year for a fifth consecutive year and 10th time overall. Virginia Wesleyan University first-year Jette Dammeier was tabbed the ODAC Rookie of the Year by the league's coaches.
This year's awards list features six repeat honors, three each on the All-ODAC First and Second Teams. Long and teammate
Annie Jennings are back on the first team at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Randolph College's
Fleur Gaalman is a second team pick this year at No. 2 singles after earning first team distinction in 2025.
Sweet Briar College's
Alex Guilarte is twice a repeat second team selection. She earned a second straight singles nod on the second team, this year at No. 1 singles. She is also a repeat at No. 1 doubles on the second team, this time with partner
Lucy Bovard.
Averett University's
Brenda Poulakidas was a second team choice in doubles last year. This season, she moves up to the first team with new partner Sunna Maass at No. 2 doubles.?
