ODAC Women's Soccer Report: Week 6

ODAC teams competed in 14 games over the past week with 11 featuring as official conference games. Four programs had a clean week with Lynchburg, Randolph, Virginia Wesleyan, and nationally 16th-ranked Washington and Lee all going 2-0 in league games. The Generals currently top the ODAC table with 12 points with Lynchburg, VWU, and Randolph-Macon sitting on nine in second. WLU (8-2-1), Lynchburg (8-1-1), VWU (8-2-1), and Bridgewater (8-3-0) have each posted an ODAC-high eight victories.

  • AMELIA MANKE | WASHINGTON AND LEE | DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER
    Manke, a junior from Virginia Beach, Va., impacted the game on both ends of the field from her holding midfield role in helping nationally 16th-ranked Washington and Lee to a pair of ODAC victories last week. Manke spearheaded a Generals' defensive effort that allowed just five shots on goal in posting a pair of shutout road wins - 2-0 at Bridgewater and 4-0 at Guilford. Manke got forward to score the first goal in both contests. At BC, she was assisted by Mary Parrish Green just 4:56 from the opening whistle. In Greensboro, Manke's opening tally came at the 19:22 mark off an assist from Bryn Bissinger. Manke has now scored three goals this season. The Generals' defense has allowed an ODAC-low five goals for a 1.818 goals against average.

  • MORGAN OLIVER | LYNCHBURG | MIDFIELDER
    Oliver, a junior from Powhatan, Va., registered an 11-point week as she helped Lynchburg to a 2-0 week in ODAC games to keep the Hornets unbeaten through three conference games. Oliver's outburst began with both goals in a 2-0 road win at Roanoke. Her first tally broke a 0-0 tie in the 66th minute via an unassisted effort. Zoe Villarreal had the impactful pass for an assist on Oliver's second goal with just over 12 minutes to play. In the Hornets 9-0 road win at Averett on Saturday, Oliver posted seven points on two goals and three assists. She scored LYN's second goal off an assist from Ava Olson in the 14th minute. She then assisted on three straight goals in the second half to increase Lynchburg's lead to 6-0 – Lauren Orner's goal at 45:27, Rylee Wampler's tally at 56:50, and Samantha Mitchell's goal at 56:54. Oliver then scored the Hornets seventh goal without an assist at the 68:38 mark. For the season, Oliver is tied for the ODAC lead in points (21) and goals scored (8). She is tied for fourth in assists (5).

    • Bridgewater forward Laura Narby scored once and handed out an assist in a 4-0 win over Roanoke.
    • EMU forward Leah Beachy scored the Royals first goal in a 2-0 win over Regent.
    • Guilford attacker Lily Brown registered the Quakers first 3-goal game since 2023, adding an assist in an 8-0 triumph at Hollins.
    • Lynchburg keeper Kate Shepherd made 7 stops in a 2-0 at Roanoke and spent the first 26:08 between the pipes in a 9-0 victory at Averett.
    • Randolph wing Casey Serttas scored once in a 3-0 win over Sweet Briar and added two goals with an assist in a 7-1 triumph at Hollins.
    • Randolph-Macon forward Ariel Farmer scored three times and handed out three assists in a 16-0 win at Sweet Briar.
    • Virginia Wesleyan forward Shyenne Diaz scored once in a 3-0 win at EMU and then tallied three times in a 4-0 victory over Shenandoah.
    • Washington and Lee midfielder Elizabeth Zimmerman handed out an assist in a 2-0 at Bridgewater and scored WLU's second goal in a 4-0 triumph at Guilford.
