BRIDGEWATER, Va. --- Bridgewater College Director of Athletics Curt Kendall has announced Nick Schlickenrieder as the College's next Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach.
Schlickenrieder comes to Bridgewater after recently serving as a Graduate Assistant at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. Before joining the Dukes' staff, Schlickenrieder was a six-year member of the JMU men's golf team, including serving as a captain for the program.
"Nick brings in a wealth of high-level golf experience at the collegiate level that will be key to the growth and success of our program in this new chapter," said Kendall.
During his time in Harrisonburg, Schlickenrieder earned Cobalt GCAA All-America Scholar honors four times and was named a conference golfer of the week twice, including the Sun Belt's honor in September of 2023.
"I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to contribute to Bridgewater College and be part of such a strong community," said Schlickenrieder. "I can't wait to get started and begin building something special with our student-athletes."
The Swiss native graduated with his undergraduate degree as a double major in Finance and Economics and recently earned his master's degree in human resource development, with his thesis focusing on recruiting stages in college athletics.
Schlickenrieder will begin his duties starting July 7.
