AMHERST, Va. — Nationally 39th-ranked Guilford College made good on its second round move to the top of the leaderboard by not only maintaining the No. 1 position, but expanding upon its lead on the way to the Quakers’ claiming a 19-stroke victory over fifth-ranked Washington and Lee University for the program’s league-record 20th ODAC men’s golf championship.
Guilford finished at 40-over 904 (311-299-294) following 54 holes of championship competition at Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Va. The win features not only the ODAC trophy, but also includes the conference’s automatic entry to the Division III Men’s Golf Championship field.

WLU’s Jonathan McEwen – the top-ranked golfer in Division III since March 26, 2025 – claimed his second straight ODAC individual medal, finishing atop the 50-player leaderboard at 3-over par 219 (73-74-72) on the challenging par-72 layout at Poplar Grove. Guilford’s Gavin Peach finished as the runner-up at 4-over 220. He carded rounds of 2-under 70 over his final 36 holes to make him the only player in the tournament to register two under-par rounds.
When it comes to course stats, the par-4 10th hole – which played to 506 yards in rounds one and two before moving up the tee box 50 yards on Tuesday – proved the toughest with just five birdies and an average score of 4.90. The par-4 324-yard 18th hole proved the easiest, surrendering 38 birdies and an average score of 3.90 as the only hole under-par for the tournament.
Guilford’s Larsen Gallimore led all players in par-3 scoring at 1-under with a 2.92 average. Shenandoah University’s Conor McCarthy was the best on par-4’s at 1-over 4.03. Bridgewater College’s Walker Gillespie clocked in the best mark on par-5’s at 3-under 4.75.
Joey Easmeil from the University of Lynchburg was the only player with two eagles, while McEwen and Averett University’s Chase Myers led the field with 12 birdies each. First-round leader Brayden Tritsch from Virginia Wesleyan University posted the most pars with 35.
During the post-championship awards ceremony, the ODAC also announced the annual All-ODAC Men’s Golf Awards. Below you will find those honorees in addition to the recipients of the 18 custom pin flags as the top-18 finishers on the individual leaderboard.
