ODAC Cross Country Report: Week 8

The ODAC cross country regular season is in the books with all but one program in the conference active at one of five meets ahead of the ODAC Cross Country Championships at Bridgewater College in two weeks. The South Region Showdown hosted by Roanoke was the most popular event with nine other schools – Averett, EMU, Hampden-Sydney, Hollins, Lynchburg, Randolph, Sweet Briar, Virginia Wesleyan, Washington and Lee – joining the Maroons at Green Hill Park, home several ODAC championships and this year’s NCAA Division III South Region Cross Country Championships. Shenandoah split its squad between two meets with some in Gettysburg at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational and more Hornets at the Interregional Border Battle in New Jersey. Lynchburg’s top-level men’s runners and Washington and Lee’s best women’s competitors took to very strong fields at the Connecticut College Invitational. Bridgewater traveled south for the Upstate Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C., home of the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
