ODAC Women's Soccer Report: Week 2

ODAC teams won 11 games last week leading to four squads that have yet to be defeated in 2025. Sweet Briar has outscored its opponents, 4-1, in starting 2-0, while Lynchburg and Virginia Wesleyan are both 3-0-1. Guilford is 2-0-1, while Bridgewater and nationally 13th-ranked Washington and Lee are 3-1-1 each. Overall, ODAC teams are 21-14-6 (.585) in early non-conference play.

  • KATE MCENROE | WASHINGTON AND LEE | GK
    McEnroe, a sophomore from Mars, Pa., picked up her first collegiate clean sheet past part of a big 2-0 week for nationally 13th-ranked Washington and Lee. McEnroe faced 18 total shots including 12 on-goal with just one getting by her for a .917 save percentage. In a 1-0 shutout at Franklin & Marshall College, she stopped all four shots on-frame in a full 90-minute shift on Saturday. The next day, McEnroe was much busier at home against nationally fifth-ranked Washington and Lee, but she was equal to the task with seven saves – all in the second half – to help the Generals secure a 2-1 win over the Blue Jays. McEnroe owns a 0.52 GAA and a .920 save percentage in 348:22 in goal this season.

  • SARAH ZIMMERMAN | WASHINGTON AND LEE | M
    Zimmerman, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, put together a three-point showing over two big wins for nationally 13th-ranked Washington and Lee over the weekend. On Saturday, the reigning ODAC Player of the Year scored the game's lone goal in a 1-0 triumph at Franklin & Marshall College. The next day, Zimmer followed up one 90-minute shift with a second full outing that included an assist on Amelia Manke's game-opening goal in a 2-1 victory over nationally fifth-ranked Johns Hopkins University. Through four games, Zimmer has notched five points on two goals and an assist.

    • Averett midfielder Gianna  Minafo scored the Cougar's goal in a 4-1 loss to Greensboro, her first since 2022.
    • Bridgewater midfielder Katherine King scored one goal and assisted on the other in a 2-0 win over Catholic, while keeper Erinn Lockard made 13 total saves against CUA and in a 2-0 loss at Dickinson College.
    • EMU midfielder Hannah Kepler scored her first collegiate goal as part of the Royals' 3-0 win over Johnson & Wales (N.C.).
    • Lynchburg midfielder Morgan Oliver had an assist in a 2-0 win over New Jersey City University and scored once with an assist in a 3-0 win over Meredith College.
    • Roanoke goalkeeper Grace Suchy made two saves each in shutouts over Meredith College (2-0) and New Jersey City University (1-0).
    • Sweet Briar midfielder Alexis Diaz and goalkeeper Mia Viccora played major roles in helping the Vixens post a 3-1 victory over Regent University, the first SBC win over the Royals in program history. Diaz scored once and dished out assists on the other two SBC goals, while Viccora made 14 saves, four shy of her career high.
    • Virginia Wesleyan forward Shyenne Diaz registered an assist in both games while defender Paige Bissell scored once in the Marlins 2-0 win over Mt. St. Joseph and 1-1 draw with Mary Hardin-Baylor.
